Who We Are

Good Girl Millie was born during the pandemic, when the world was starved for human connection and a hand-written note seemed like a perfect panacea to the isolation. Six years later, we’re still on the bandwagon. “A hand-written letter is a quiet rebellion against a fast and forgetful world,” writes an anonymous author. “It says, ‘I slowed down for you.’ Each stroke of the pen is a gesture of care, a whisper of presence, a way of saying ‘You matter enough for this.’”

Inspired by the buoyant nature of family golden retriever Millie, our note-card collections emphasize humor, comfort, and happy things. Millie cards are hand painted in watercolor (not digitally created) in our Williamsburg, Virginia, studio and are printed locally. We take commissions for custom invitations and dog and house portraits, and offer a line of semi-custom personalized stationery. Our products are carried in retail shops along the east coast, and you’ll find us at farmers markets and art fairs whenever we can break away from the studio.

Our mission: To regenerate the love of letter writing, one cute little card at a time.
